Diode laser measurements of NH3, ν2-band spectral lines

High-resolution absorption spectra of the NH₃, ν₂ band in the 800- to 1200-cm^?1 region have been measured using ir tunable diode lasers. One hundred lines of 18sP-, aP-, aQ-, sQ-, aR-, and sR-branch multiplets have been resolved. Absorption line separations have been measured and line frequencies assigned using high-precision literature data. For all the transitions observed, relative line intensities have been calculated and compared to literature data; for three lines, the absolute intensities have been measured.
