| Abstract: | Crystal structures of (1,3,4-thiadiazolyl-2)aminodipropionic (I) and (5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazolyl-2) aminodipropionic (II) acids are determined R = 0.0363 and 0.0529 for 2706 and 1614 reflections with I > 2σ(I) for I and II, respectively]. The similarity and distinctions in the hydrogen-bond systems and molecular-packing motifs of crystals I and II are discussed. |
