Atomic configuration of a 12〈111〉 {110} edge dislocation in α-Fe

The atomic arrangement around a $\text{1}\text{2}$〈111〉 {110} edge dislocation in an α-Fe crystallite embedded in an elastic continuum is calculated, using the Johnson-I interatomic potential. A narrow dislocation without any stacking fault results, although there is some displacement in the core parallel to the dislocation line.
