The preparation and electrical switching properties of nickel sulphides in As₂S₃ glass

Abstract:	A preliminary investigation into the formation of ‘glasses’ from mixtures of arsenic and nickel sulphides is reported. Memory- and threshold-switching devices have been produced from glasses containing particles of nickel sulphide. Threshold switches show a high resistance in the off-state ( $> 10^{6} μ$ ), and a linear on-state.
