Abstract:Speckle patterns obtained when botanical specimens are illuminated with laser light are observed to fluctuate at a rate which depends on the wavelength of the light used. It is suggested that this wavelength dependence may be of value as an additional degree of freedom in some applications of intensity fluctuation spectroscopy.
