Paramagnetic behaviour of (GduY1−u)Co2 compounds

The results of paramagnetic measurements on the (Gd_uY_1-u)Co₂ compounds are presented. The thermal variation of the reciprocal susceptibility may be described by a Néel type variation superimposed on the Pauli paramagnetic term. Using the values of the magnetic interactions deduced from paramagnetic data we describe the thermal variation of spontaneous magnetization. The calculated curves are in rather good agreement with the experimental data.
