| Abstract: | Copper-catalyzed oxidative esterification of aldehydes with beta-dicarbonyl compounds was developed using tert-butyl hydroperoxide as an oxidant. In general, the enol esters were synthesized in good yields (up to 87%) and high stereoselectivity under the optimized reaction conditions. |
