| Abstract: | A set of complete elastic plastic analytical solutions for circumferential through cracks in cylindrical shells loaded by tension is developed according to the thin shell theory and with the use of the Dugdale model. The proposed solutions are valid for the tearing of the crack and the full plasticity on the cracked section. |
