Resonance Raman spectra of tetrathiatetracene,tetraselenatetracene and their conducting complexes

Abstract:Resonance Raman spectra (RRS) of tetrathiatetracene (TTT), tetraselenatetracene (TSeT), their cations TTT+, TSeT+ and a number of conducting complexes (σ293K = 2 × 10?3 ohm?1 cm?1) have been studied under excitation at 6328 Å. The RRS of the conducting complexes show vibrational lines of the neutral molecules and their singly charged ions. A model to explain the data obtained is proposed where charges move from one molecule to another with a lifetime τ of the charge on a specific molecule larger than 10?13–10?12 s.
