科技论文英文摘要语言特点的分析

通过对随机抽样的３０篇科技论文英文摘要的句型、时态、从句和短语间的关系以及总体结构等方面的定性和定量分析，发现和总结了科技论文摘要最显著的语言特点，以期对科研人员速读和写好论文摘要有所助益和启示，以提高他们的文献检索效率和发布科研成果的水平．文章认为英文摘要阅读和写作的针对性的自我训练应当成为所有科研人员的必修课．

A Linguistic Feature Analysis of English Abstracts in Scientific Research Papers

The purpose of this study is to find out the most striking linguistic features of abstracts in scientific research papers through the quantitative and qualitative analyses of their patterns, tenses, the relationship between clauses and phrases, the general structure, etc. in order to provide some assistance or hints for researchers in their reading and writing of abstracts in English. A random sampling of thirty abstracts on physics, chemistry, and biology (ten for each subject) is analysed. The study concludes that science abstracts are of vital importance for all researchers. It is suggested that a specialized self training programe be introduced to enhance the reading and writing skills of abstracts in English.
