| Abstract: | A synthesis of N-aryl and N-heteroaryl amino acid derivatives using palladium catalysis is described. Several carbamate-protected glycine derivatives react with aryl and heteroaryl halides using a palladium/Xantphos catalyst system to access the desired synthons. |
