| Abstract: | A new efficient protocol for the synthesis of 3,5-dinitrothiophene scaffolds was developed by using simple p-tert-butylcalix[8]arene in aqueous medium. Biological activities of some representative compounds were also studied to inhibit the cell growth on selective anticancer cell lines. |
