Minor polyhydroxysteroids from the starfish Crossaster papposus

Minor polyhydroxysteroids from the starfishCrossaster papposus have been isolated and characterized: 5-cholestane-3,6,8,15,16,26-hexanol and 24-methyl-5-cholesta-14,22E-diene-3,6,8,26-tetraol 26-O-(3-O-methyl--D-glucopyranoside) (crossasteroside P₃).
