| Abstract: | The propagation characteristics of the higher-order modes in oversize rectangular-groove guides have been analyzed by using the Method of Lines. In the analysis, the cutoff wavenumbers, field distributions and leaky phenomena are presented and discussed. The leaky mode concept introduced in this paper has been found to be useful for analysis. The calculated data agreed well with the measured data published. |
