On Chalcogenolates. 120. Synthesis and Properties of N-Cyanguanidino Monothioformates N-Cyanguanidine reacts with COS in the presence of the corresponding alkali metal hydroxide to form N-cyanguanidino monothioformates M[SOC? NH? C(NH₂)?N? CN]. The compounds with M = K, Rb, Cs and the methyl ester have been characterized by means of electron absorption, ¹H and ¹³C NMR, infrared, and mass spectra.
