| Abstract: | Proton-NMR, vibrational and mass spectral data are reported for nine molecules derived from. squaric acid. The data substantiate the cyclobuta[b]quinoxaline structure for six of the molecules whereas the others are shown to be simple derivatives of squaric acid. |
