Thermoluminescence of NaCl:Tl at 340°K |

| Abstract: | Thermoluminescence and optical absorption have been studied in X-irradiated NaCl:Tl crystals. It is suggested that the filled electron traps and the filled hole traps responsible for 340°K glow peak are the F-centres and the TI++ ions respectively. The emission at 340°K results from the thermal release of F-electrons and their recombination with the holes at TI++ centres. |
