Abstract: | Kinetics of cysteine (Cys) autoxidation catalyzed by cobalt (II) tetrasulfophthalocyanine (CoTSPc) has been studied by the polarographic method. Kinetic equation derived indicates that the reaction follows a mechanism involving the formation of an intermediate ternary CoTSPc (Cys) (O2) complex that probably contains a second Cys as RS. radical on a macrocyclic ligand.
