| Abstract: | Editor's Note: The Lead Teacher Component of the Virginia State Systemic Initiative has developed a special relationship with USA TODAY; they are a national newspaper with special daily materials to help teachers use newspapers in several disciplines. These materials are provided to teachers at cost. SSMA and Virginia are not endorsing USA TODAY; we are simply trying to make it easier for teachers to use newspapers; whether they use USA TODAY or a local newspaper is of no concern. We just find that the support provided by USA TODAY definitely helps teachers get started. Thus, we asked the authors, writers in Educational Development for USA TODAY, to prepare this article so that our readers may learn of their service to teachers. |
