Interpretation of millimeter and sub-millimeter observations of the solar chromosphere

Measurements of solar radiation in the millimetre and submillimetre spectral range (100 m–10 mm) yield the variation of brightness temperature with wavelength and disk position. Such information imposes important constraints on models of the structure of the solar chromosphere.
