| Abstract: | Methane produced by the reduction of iodomethane by sodium borohydride in diglyme can be used to determine the dead time in capillary gas chromatography. Best results were achieved using standard non-polar capillary columns, hydrogen, helium and nitrogen carrier gases and flame ionization detection. |
