Abstract:The mechanism for the chemical oseillation appering in the oxidative coupling of methan (OCM) on Fe-P-O cata1yst is analyzed by a simplified reation model. The effects of different feeding methods on OCM reaction were experimentally investigated by non-steady state forced oscillation of concentration. It was observed that all the tliree methods of forced concentration oscillations (pulse feeding of methane at a constant oxygen flow, pulse feeding of oxygen at a constant methanc flow and pulse feeding of oxygen, argon and methane in equal intervals) improved the C2 selectivity and yield to a Certain extent.
