| Abstract: | Elastic electron scattering cross sections for carbon were measured relative to hydrogen. An analysis of the data with phase shift calculations and a static charge distribution yields a model-independent rms radius of (2.42±0.04) fm for the natural isotopic mixture of carbon. |
