The Selection for a New Rice Variety Haike_(115)

The selection for a new rice variety Haike115 is described in this paper. It is pointed out that in orer to get a new high yield variety with good qualities and disease resistances by selection, the followlg questions must be paid attention to: 1)it must be based on the climatic peculiarities of Hainan and ractical for local agricutural production in rice breeding; 2)the varieties must have more strong bints, less weakness with complementarity chief characters which should be selected as parents; 3)the tess should be laid on the selection for the character of long grain, high percentage of seed setting and igh resistance.
