| Abstract: | The synthesis of 1,3,4-oxadiazole (OXD)-based dicationic cyclophanes has been achieved via an N-alkylation route, and UV-vis spectra proved the absence of charge transfer interactions. Electrochemical studies showed interference of the OXD unit on the characteristic redox properties of dicationic benzimidazolophanes. |
