| Abstract: | Torsion classes and their corresponding quasi-filters in S-systems will be investigated. Torsion theory, in particular the hereditary torsion theory of S-systems will be characterized by the conguences defined on a semigroup S. A number of results on torsion theory of semigroups in the literature will be generalized and extended. |
