Abstract:
Laminar fluid flow in rows of plate elements with staggered arrangement has been investigated by solving the complete Navier-Stokes equations using numerical methods. The results have been compared with those obtained on the basis of boundary-layer simplifications. The theoretical pressure-drop values compare well with available numerical and experimental data
