| Abstract: | In this paper, an effective procedure for image multiscale edges extraction is presented by chaining local maxima of a wavelet transform .Image coding methods based on wavelet maxima representation are studied .The experiment results show that the important edges of original images are kept and a good visual perception are seen in reconstructed images. |
