Abstract: | We study the nonlinear axisymmetric problem of determining the temperature field near a spherical defect irradiated by a heat
flux. The solution is constructed by the Fourier method using the Kirchhoff transform in a bipolar coordinate system. We carry
out a numerical analysis of two special cases of boundary conditions.
