Abstract: | The preparation and characterization of three metal(II) chlorido complexes with 1,2‐di(1H‐tetrazol‐1‐yl)ethane (dte) ( 1 ) as ligand is presented. The complexes have the following formula: CoCl2(μ‐dte)(dte)2]n ( 2 ), CuCl2(μ‐dte)2]n ( 3 ), and Cd(μ‐Cl)2(μ‐dte)]n ( 4 ). Single crystal X‐ray diffraction of all three metal complexes was performed and the structures are discussed. All three central metal atoms are connected to polynuclear structures by the μ‐bridging ligand. Cobalt and copper are connected to one‐dimensional chains. The central cadmium(II) atoms are additionally connected by the chloride anions to a two‐dimensional network. Further, the cobalt(II) complex represents a special case with two terminal dte ligands. |
