| Abstract: | Kinetics of oxygen adsorption on silver films prepared by metal vacuum evaporation and condensation technique has been studied. The adsorption proceeds in accordance with the kinetic law of Zeldovich-Roginskii. Oxygen dissolution in the silver subsurface layers result in a decrease of the initial adsorption rate and an enhanced exponential decrease of the adsorption rate as a function of surface coverage. |
