| Abstract: | A system of notation for the lignans and isolignans is proposed. The name cyclolignans instead of isolignans has been suggested. The notation is based on the oxygen equivalents in the benzene rings and side chains. The basic hydrocarbons are designated as lignan and cyclolignan. |
