| Abstract: | A new method for determination of ascorbic acid in fruit, vetetable juices and pharmaceutical products has been described. The method is based on the oxidation of ascorbic acidby iodine, which is generated anodically in 0. 05% KI and 0. 04% HAc electrolysis solution by variable currents from micro-coulometry. We use DCPI dye method as a standard method and simultaneously determine ascorbic acid in different kinds of samples with these two methods. The results are very agreeable to each other. In this paper, we have systematically studied the concentrations and compositions of the electrolyte, current efficiency, electrolysis voltages and bias potential selection. |
