| Abstract: | Secondary alcohols were catalytically oxidized with diacetoxyiodobenzene as oxidant in the presence of salen- Mn(III) complex to afford the corresponding ketones, in up to 99% yield, using CH 2Cl 2 or water as reaction media. |
