Stark effect investigation of highly excited 2D32 states in 133Cs utilizing a CW tunable dye laser

Abstract:Stark effect measurements on the 8, 9 and 10 2D32 levels in 133Cs were performed with the level crossing technique. The levels were populated using a two-step excitation, involving a tunable dye laser. The sign of the hyperfine constants could be determined.
