| Abstract: | The constituent symmetry group U(6) is incorporated in the null plane quark model of mesons. We obtain the value mu=5.4 MeV, and the estimate ms=125?160 MeV for the masses of the non-strange and the strange quarks respectively. Some checks of the model in terms of meson mass formulas are given. |
