Inclusive processes at large transverse momenta

A general model for processes at large transverse momentum is constructed on the assumption that events with large transverse momentum particles posses short range correlations. It is shown that particle ratios and scaling properties are not sensitive to the detailed dynamics of large angle scattering, and also that the character of the inclusive spectrum can be understood in terms of (quasi-) elastic scattering.
