| Abstract: | We derive the equation governing the ion distribution function when a toroidal plasma is heated by a radiofrequency wave at . A numerical integration of this equation shows that a suprathermal anisotrpic tali develops in the distribution function, as experimentally observed on the ST Tokamak. |
