| Abstract: | Two new isospirostanol sapogenins named (25R)-5β-spirostane-(1α, 3α)-diol (1) and (25R)-5β-spirostane-(1α, 2α, 3α, 4α)-tetrol (2) were isolated from the whole herb of Reineckia carnea (Andr.) Kunth. The structures of the sapogenins were elucidated by chemical and spectral methods. |
