Abstract: | We present μSR experiments on La2-x Bax CuO4 and La1.6-x Nd0.4 Srx CuO4 for x=0.125. Both of these materials order magnetically with TNapprox30 K, while a superconducting sample of La1.4 Nd0.4 Sr0.2 CuO4 showed no evidence for static copper moments. Our results support the conclusion that the so‐called “1/8” anomaly in La2-x Bax CuO4 is a result of static (pinned) charge segregation.
