Abstract: | A two-cluster model is devised for the hypothetical 0+, T=1 level at 11.5 MeV in6Be which was proposed to explain the low value of the observed flux of high-energy solar neutrinos. It is used to show that searches for this level as carried out by means of inelastic electron scattering have not been conclusive, and could be improved to a limited degree only. |
