| Abstract: | A GC method for the determination of trace hydrocarbon impurities in cracking gases is described. The system contains one packed glass capillary analytical column (GCBAl_2O_3), one packed pre-column (GCB), one ten-or eight-port valve and FID. PPM level of cyclo-propane, propadiene, ethyne, propyne, and 1, 3-butadiene in cracking gases can be determined in about 30 minutes with external standard The relative standard deviation is less than 50% if the component is between 1 and 5 ppm. |
