Abstract: | Two new prenylated isoflavones (erythrivarones A and B) were isolated from the stem bark of Erythrina variegata Linn, together with the known compound alpinumisoflavone (1). The structures of erythrivarones A and B were characterized as dihydroalpinumisoflavone (2) and 4′-hydroxy-6″,6″-dimethyldihydropyrano(2″,3″:5,6)]-6?,6?-dimethyldihydropyrano(2?,3?:7,8)]isoflavone (3), respectively, by means of spectroscopic analysis. |
