| Abstract: | The direct intercalation of iodic acid into the layered uranyl iodate, UO2(IO3)2(H2O), has been observed to yield UO2(IO3)2(H2O).2HIO3 in crystalline form. This is the first example of this type of reaction with iodic acid. |
