| Abstract: | A method for attaching the vancomycin aglycone to a peptide carrier domain (PCD) is reported which involves reacting the apo-PCD produced in Escherichia coli with vancomycin aglycone-coenzyme A thioester, catalyzed by the phosphopantetheinyl transferase Sfp from Bacillus subtilis. |
