Abstract:The photodissociation spectrum of(C 6H 5F) 2 + is obtained from the yields of fragment C 6H 5F + ion as a function of photodissociation wavelength in the 390nm-960nm region. The band at about 420nm is attributed to the C←X local excitation band of single C 6H 5F + ion; the band at about 905nm is assigned to charge resonance band. The experiment and theoritical computation show that the binding energy is 0.70eV, and the charge is shared with the two molecules in (C 6H 5F) + 2 ,and a parallel structure for(C 6H 5F) + 2.
