摘    要:就保护冷蒿草原对防止沙漠化的作用进行了分析 .草原退化和沙质草原的沙漠化在其演替进程的前一半是完全一样的 ,对沙质草原来说 ,到了冷蒿阶段如果不注意保护令其继续破坏 ,由于植被盖度下降 ,地表裸露而极易受到风蚀、水蚀作用 ,形成沙漠化土地 ,因此 ,冷蒿阶段是一个十分重要的阶段 .其重要性反映在两个方面 :其一 ,由于种群表现出较强的补偿生长的能力 ,因此有较强的抗干扰能力 ,只要合理调整草地的利用方式和利用季节 ,就有可能维持冷蒿群落的状况并有可能向生产力更高阶段恢复 ;其二 ,对于沙质草原来说 ,这是由草原退化向草原沙化转变的临界阶段 ,保护冷蒿群落对防止沙漠化的发生和发展将起到十分重要的作用

Abstract:The effect of protecting Artemisia frigida communities on preventing sandy grassland desertification was studied.The results show:the first half of succession in grassland degeneration and sandy grassland desertification is completely identical. If the grassland is not protected and is destroyed continually when it developed into A. frigida grassland stage, the vegetation on chestnut soil will be extremely degenerated and that on sandy soil will become desert because the exposed sandy soil is quite likely to be affected by wind and water erosion. So the stage of A. frigida grassland is a very important one.Its importance is shown in two aspects:first,along with the increase of grazing pressure,the vegetative tiller number,adventitious root number and stolen length of A.frigida population changed. This change reflects that the compensatory growth ability is much stronger. The ability is brought out by the variation of carbohydrate contents of A. frigida population in different seasons and under different grazing pressure.If the grassland can be utilized in sensible patterns and in right seasons, the grassland can keep on A. frigida communities and their productivity will be restored to a higher level.Second,as to sandy grassland, A. frigida community is both the critical stage in which grassland degeneration is likely into change to desertification and a key moment to prevent desertification.
