Determination of phase mismatch in a Z-propagating LiNbO3 TE-TM convertor

We describe a method suitable for the measurement of phase mismatch in a LiNbO₃ Z-propagating TE-TM convertor. The method is based on the measurement of the transmission peaks produced by a mode coupling voltage applied to the electrodes. A major advantage of the method is that it allows phase mismatch measurements to be performed with quite a few parameters easily assessable experimentally (operating wavelength and electrode length).
