| Abstract: | Pyrolysis of iron-phenanthroline complexes supported on carbon leads to highly selective catalysts for the reduction of structurally diverse nitroarenes to anilines in 90-99% yields. Excellent chemoselectivity for the nitro group reduction is demonstrated. |
