| Abstract: | A diagrammatic expansion for the variational energy of a Fermi fluid using state-dependent correlations is described. It is used to obtain the leading order terms (up to (kFa)2) in the low density expansion of a hard sphere Fermi gas using both state-dependent and state-independent correlations. |
